The event greatly interested communicators, specialized media, and sponsors in debating very up-to-date topics such as generative artificial intelligence on journalism, fake news, data sources reliability, and corporate communication trends.

The on-line seminar has had 84 enrolled participants (all of them members of the guild), 14 media partners, and nine sponsors, namely, Syngenta, Corteva Agriscience, Koppert, Yara, John Deere, BP Bunge, CNH Industrial, and Grupo Santa Clara. It was the first sponsored event organized by the Brazilian association, which was formally founded in May 2022. The guild has more than 90 paying members and more than 800 on its social media groups.

“The first Congress in this series of online events aimed to integrate journalists and communication professionals who work in agribusiness. We brought to the debate personalities who can contribute, through knowledge, science, and current affairs, to a better understanding of the impacts that the profession has been facing”, explains the president of Rede Agrojor, Vera Ondei.

The Congress had broad support from specialized media outlets in the sector that reached tens of millions of people nationwide. In alphabetical order, the partners of this first edition were AgroBand, AgFeed, Agrofy News, Balde Branco, Canal Rural, DBO, Forbes Agro, Globo Rural, INC Magazine, JornalCana, Notícias Agrícolas, Record Agro, SBT Agro, and Terra Viva.

The president of Rede Agrojor believes that the partnership between these vehicles is yet another demonstration of the relevance of the event and the association itself for the qualification of professional journalists involved in covering national agriculture.

“Our members produce and manage a large part of such publications, which is a source of pride for us and another motivation for the arrival of more and more new members to the Rede Agrojor”, invites.
